Welcome to the Najarro Family Adventures Blog ...

Okay, so every family has their adventures, what makes mine so unique. Nothing! We're a typical Hispanic family: large (in number and size), loud, plenty of gossip and melodrama, and the embodiment of every other Hispanic stereotype. Okay, not every stereotype. Come to think of it, most of the family adventures reflect an episode of the George Lopez show with a Salvadorian twist.

So why start blogging about a typical Hispanic family? There has been a lot of change (what I like to call adventures) in la familia over the past year and I thought that it would be good for these adventures to be captured for the world to read. A few of the major adventures from the past 7 months include: the birth of my daughter, Izzy, and her 2nd cousin Angela (whose mom, Yoly, is in her 40s! Now there's an adventure for Yoly and her husband Mike), my tia Tita's most recent comeback from another bout with kidney disease, cousin Danny's deployment to Iraq, my dad's recent surgery to remove a malignant brain tumor, my promotion to management, the purchase of a new house, and the return to living with my parents for the next 2 months before we move into our new house.

Okay, so maybe there are some unique aspects to my family. I hope you will check in regularly to see what is up with la familia.
