The last year has been an adventure for me too. Starting with the birth of my daughter Isabella, lovingly called Izzy, Isa, Bella (only by Jen), Chavelita (by greatgrandma), Carino (by her dear aunt Ely), and Negrita by her Nana. Well, the first three months of her life, Izzy's diet consisted of breast milk and formula. Not so exciting, until we introduced her to some real food! She is enjoying trying new fruits and veggies.
There is another adventure, making baby food. Izzy started off with the traditional cereal and has now moved to trying a wide variety of veggies and fruits. Both Rene and I are having fun looking at the many faces that she makes when she is given a new food to try. Her facial expressions are priceless. We have also come to know that my little daughter prefers home cooked meals rather than store bought foods. She may look like a Gerber baby, but sorry Gerber no profits for you! We even have bought a baby cookbook! Who would've thought that you needed a baby cookbook? Our next adventure... meats and more grownup foods! Stay tune!
Here is a picture of Izzy eating some string beans, her favorites!
