Family Vacation-Part One

This year for our family vacation we took a trip to the Bahamas! We went there for an adventure and to see our dear friends the Smiths. A HUGE thanks to the Smiths for hosting us and showing us the island. Holly was so kind to drive us around and spend time with us. It was a wonderful vacation filled with lots of memories. We left Saturday, May 28th. Our flight left before noon, but we had to be at the airport early. This was our first time traveling by plane with the kiddos so I was not sure how long everything would turn out. When we got to the airport, we were surprised how fast we got through security and how well the kiddos did with the whole process, it was like they were pros! They were super excited to see their friends and go on an airplane for the first time they could hardly sleep the night before. They even started a countdown the week before and every night Izzy would "X" the day and count how many more days were left. They woke up Saturday morning ready to go! Ricky and Izzy did great waiting the full two hours before the plane took off, they were so excited to see the airplanes so close. The plane ride took about three hours and it went really well.

When we got to the Bahamas, the Smiths were waiting for us and it was so nice to see them! I couldn't believe how big Jackson and Miller had gotten! The Smiths drove us to our rental house and we checked in. Before I knew it, Izzy was ready getting her swimsuit on ready for the beach. We went to the beach across the street and enjoyed the warm and clear Bahamian waters!

Ricky didn't want anything to do with the water at first, he preferred throwing sand!

We ended our first day of vacation with some play time and dinner with the Smiths! We had a blast on our first day!
