On Wednesday morning we woke up to cloudy skies and rain. We were wondering what to do on a rainy day. All we knew was that we needed to go out or else we would go crazy! Izzy was not happy that she couldn't go to the pool or beach. We thought of going to the movies, but apparently the movie theater was across the island so Holly suggested that we go visit the pirate museum in downtown Nassau. By the time we got to downtown Nassau (only 15 minutes away) the skies were clear and the rain had stopped. We went to the museum, a very small one we were done going through it in about 30 minutes. The kids were kind of scared at the beginning since it was dark and some of the manikins were sort of scary. After we got done with the museum, we saw a Dunkin Doughnuts across the street and we couldn't resist. We had some doughnuts and then decided to go to the flea market and walk around town. The flea market was interesting and busy. It is located next to where the big cruise ships dock. We saw two big ships there. We got the traditional souvenir t-shirts for the kids and a purse for Izzy. The rest of the morning was spent on going through the town and stores. We ended up eating lunch at a Greek restaurant that had a host that went around saying "opa!" every time he saw someone new come in the restaurant. By the time we left, Ricky kept saying "Opa!" for everything. We took the local bus back to our rental. Let's just say I have never seen a bus so packed! When we got off the bus, Izzy says "hey, that was rude!" and I asked what she was talking about. She says "that guy didn't drop us off in front of our house!" This was their first time riding a bus. We spent our afternoon at the beach and had a quiet night at the rental house.
