Spring Break Outings

This week Izzy is on Spring Break, so we have done some fun outdoor activities for the past two days. We went to the National Zoo with my sister, nieces and Nana! The weather was perfect and the kids got to enjoy spending time with the cousins and seeing the animals. The National Zoo is doing a great job renovating lots of the animal habitats. They finished the elephant habitat and now is open and gives the elephants lots of fun to play and exercise. They are also renovating the seals, sea lions and giraffe habitats. Ricky was sad that he didn't get to see the giraffes since they are in Florida during the renovation. He was very cute, he kept saying "I no got to Florida, I no giraffe!"

We also got to go to Brookside Gardens with some friends. The weather today was a little bit cooler, but still a perfect day for walking around the gardens and looking at nature! We enjoyed a picnic there and had lots of fun! It brought back so many memories from last year. Ricky was so small back then!

National Zoo

This tiger looked like he was getting ready to jump across the water!

There were lots of lions out. The lion cubs looked really cute!

This snapping turtle is HUGE!

Thanks Nana, Tia Daisy, Gaby and Debbie for caring and spoiling my kiddos all day long yesterday!

Thankfully nobody fell in!

Lunch Time:)

Nancy brought some eggs to hide so the kids had a little egg hunt after lunch.
Where should we look?

Little play area, very cute!

The kids got to plant some tomatoes to take home. Hopefully they will grow here at home!
