We have had some fun days lately! It all started last week when Ricky decided to go into the bathroom and block himself in! I was putting some laundry in the dryer when I heard the bathroom door close. As I walked towards the bathroom I heard Ricky start to cry. I went to open the door...BUT he had opened up two of the vanity drawers, which caused the door not to open. I sat there asking him to close the drawers, but then realized that he wouldn't know what the heck I was saying! So I tried closing the bottom drawer with a spatula and I had some success, like twenty minutes later! The poor guy was in the bathroom with the lights out crying so badly that that made me sad and couldn't really concentrate! I tried calling Rene, but he was at the gym and was not near his phone:( I called my mother-in-law and she was at Sam's Club, so after another ten minutes trying to close the top drawer, I gave up and went over to my neighbor's house and asked for help. Thankfully, they came over right away and got Ricky out! My face must of have said it all, all Annie could say when she opened the door was "is everything ok?" That's when I lost it, I stared to cry and mumbled that I needed help. All I could picture was me calling 911 and saying, "my kid is locked in the bathroom and I can't get him out!" Follow that by a bunch of fire trucks and fireman trying to tear down my bathroom door! I have never been so relieved in my life! Thanks Karps for helping us out!
Here are some pictures of the aftermath!

Thanksgiving!
We spent a quiet Thanksgiving, just us, the kiddos and Noemy. I cooked the turkey (butterball turkey breast), garlic mash potatoes, rice (cooked by Rene), a special tomatoe sause made by Noemy and for dessert sweet potato cassarole and pumpkin pie, yum!!! We watched football games, had dinner and then watched a kid's movie to end our night (this is what having kids will do to you:). Here are some pictures from that day:

Doesn't he look like he is drinking the glass of wine?? He wasn't for those wondering!!

My two handsome guys!

Date Night
On Friday night, my dear husband took me out on a date night!!! We haven't had one of those in a while and it has come at a perfect time. We went downtown to Dupont to a restaurant that I like called Vapianos. This restaurant is located near Rene's grad school building, so it was also cool to see all the places that Rene goes to for lunch/after class on Saturdays. It was such a sweet time, just the two of us. Rene and I have been together for about 16 years and even after being together for such a long time you just need to be alone with each other. To fall in love again, to appreciate each other and to learn about each other some more. I am thankful for the man God has given me and I pray that we have many, many more years together! I love you sweetheart!
