There is hope!

Yesterday, while I was busy doing something, Izzy came up to me to give me her sippy cup. Since I could not get it from her I asked her if she could put it back in the kitchen. Well, at first she just stood there and I thought it would not work. Then to my amazement, she turned around walked out of the room. I was curious to see what she was doing, so I followed her. She had put her sippy cup back in the kitchen!!! Hurray! We have been working on "putting things back" for a long time and to finally see some fruit was wonderful!

Later on when we were getting ready to leave for the park, I decided to clean up all the DVDs that she had taken out. As always, I tell her "let's clean up" but she doesn't like to and at times refuses to do so. Well, since we were in a rush, I didn't pursue the issue too much. Well, once again I was amazed, as I was putting on my coat, I see Izzy running back to the family room. I stop to see what she is going to do. She grabs a DVD that I had left on the side table and goes over to the DVD basket. At this point all I'm thinking is "great, she's going to take all the DVDs out again!" But all Izzy wanted to do was put the DVD back in the basket! I felt so bad that I had judge my little one and I felt happy that she is finally catching on with what I have been teaching her.

I know that these might just be a fluke, but I sure do hope that it continues, it would make life so much easier for me!
