Between the "Ions"

Izzy has started to watch a PBS kids show called "Between the Lions," or as she calls it "Ions." It is so cute to hear her say the word lion! I don't know how much of the show she completely understands, but it is an excellent show for older kids who are getting ready to read. The show features lion puppets who through singing and story telling teach important reading readiness skills, punctuation, spelling skills and much more. I used to use their website, which is great as well, when I taught first grade. The kids loved it and they were able to learn the reading/spelling patterns and rules in a fun way. Check it out, the "Ions" are worth the try!
