This year we took our first family vacation. We went down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for a week. Last time we were in Myrtle Beach was back in 2005, we had no kids and all we did was lay on the beach, read and sleep. This time around was a little bit different. We hardly layed on the beach, we never read and as far as sleeping, well we slept only at night:) Overall, our vacation was a good one, lots of work, but good. My mother-in-law came with us. Seeing her enjoy her grandkids was a lot of fun to watch. She was a HUGE help! The weather was PERFECT! We got to go to the beach every day we were there. There was little humidity and it only rained twice once in the afternoon (got to take a three hour nap that afternoon) and the other time it was at night time. Izzy and Ricky enjoyed the beach a lot, and were not afraid of the water at all. We got to go out a couple of nights to enjoy ice cream and to the local boardwalk type place called Broadway at the Beach. This place is huge and has lots of stores, restaurants and entertainments. Highly recommend it. The only drawback that I could think of is that we got stuck in traffic on the way there and back. That along with three pit stops made our trip about 11 hours long. Toward the end of each ride, Izzy began to scream "I want to get out!" Poor kiddos! But we did have lots of good memories! Here are some pictures from our trip.
At the park, only a short walk from where we were staying

Daddy and Izzy "exercising." She wants to do everything her daddy does!

Ricky waiting to be fed!

Izzy playing on our "pool." We made a hole EVERY day we went to the beach!

Izzy going deep with daddy. That's all she wanted to do! She got tossed around a couple of times, but that did not face her at all.

Biker Girl!

Her first Tea Cup ride! She loved it!
Now Rene and I need a vacation from our vacation:)
