April & May 2009 Update

It's been a long time since I last posted so I will try to catch you up on what's been going on in our house. Let's see, Ricky got a hair cut for the first time! It was a nerve racking experience, but overall Rene did a great job! Back in April, before all the rain, we took advantage of the lovely weather and headed for the National Zoo. We had tons of fun and were amazed at how good both kiddos did! We also took them to the Ringling and Brother's and Barnum and Baily circus! t was a family event, Ricky and Grandma joined us too. At first I thought that Izzy was going to freak out and not like it, but she did great! About a month and a half before we went, Izzy had seen a commercial for the circus and kept asking us to take her to see the circus (darn commercials getting us already!). Every day she would say "Go circus mommy?" "Got tickets?" Now she is saying "Go circus again mommy?" We're happy that she enjoyed it! Ricky did great too. I thought he was going to be scared of the noises, but he even slept for part of the show!!! He is such a good baby!
