Christmas Tree

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we usually go get our Christmas tree and begin our holiday decorating and shopping. Every year we head over to our local Home Depot and begin the process of choosing a tree. We open up several trees to see which one looks the best and shake it to see if it drops too many needles. This year we decided to go out and cut down a tree! Those of you who know Rene and I well, know that we would have NEVER done this before having kids. We thought it would be a tradition we can start with the kids. Our good friends Juliet and Alan joined us and we had a good time. We found the perfect tree for us after about half an hour of looking around. The funny thing was that we found both of our trees right next to each other, we thought that it was meant to be!

Looking stylish, while eating a snack and looking for the perfect tree!

She had to smell the trees to give it an OK!

Running up and down the field, yelling "come mamma!"

Every time we found a potential tree, we would "glove it" so we would know which ones we had picked.

Izzy and Daddy in search for the perfect tree!

Happy couple with their tree.
Rene cutting down our tree. Alan had brought an electric saw, so it made it easier!

Finally getting ready to head home with our Christmas tree!
