Pray for Grandpa

Last Tuesday, I took Rene's dad to the doctors for his weekly check-up. As soon as we go to the doctor's office, she noticed that he was having a hard time walking and did not have enough strength to pull himself up from the chair. She immediately sent him to the ER. After tests were done, his oncologist and radiation therapist did not give us good news. The following day, when I talked with the oncologist, she broke the news that Ricardo may only have a couple of months to live. Unfortunately, his condition has been getting worse and late last week, we were told that now it may be weeks. As you can imagine, this has been really hard for the family to grasp. Rene's mom has been caring for Ricardo at home now since his doctor discharged him last Thursday. Please pray that she can continue to care for him and that God may strengthen her for the next weeks to come. Also, please pray for Rene, as he prepares to plan for funeral arrangements and to care for his mother. I'll try to keep the blog updated as much as possible. Thanks!
