Graduation

On Thursday, May 23 2008 I graduated from Johns Hopkins with my masters in education. Even though things had gotten really hectic with Rene's dad, Rene encouraged me to attend and enjoy the day. The graduation took place at the Baltimore campus, so we headed out early in the afternoon and had a chance to have a quiet dinner, just the two of us. Thank you to my mom for caring for Izzy for the afternoon and late night. I had a blast seeing my classmates and sharing this experience with them as well. When we picked up Izzy from my mom's, my poor baby had been crying off and on and had a fever! The rest of the night was rough since she didn't sleep much. Thankfully she has recovered well from an ear infection and is now very active.

I want to thank my dear husband for helping in my educational journey. He took over many of the household responsibilities while I was going to school and was always willing to listen to my crazy homework assignments! Thank you sweetheart for pushing me to finish and always cheering me on! I couldn't have done it without you! The Lord has truly blessed me with an awesome husband! I love you!
First time I have attended an outdoor graduation. Even though it was at night and it was cold, it was nice.

That's me! I wobbled my way across the stage!

Rene took great pride in hanging my diploma. I think he was more excited to hang it than I was!

Whoo-hoo! I keep forgetting to say Congratulations!! That's quite an accomplishment. You should be very proud. But not as proud as you should be of the amazing way you are supporting Rene and taking care of his Dad and being a mom and homemaker. =) You're awesome!
