Hawaii

Rene and I were blessed to have had the opportunity to go to Hawaii to celebrate our 10 year anniversary (a little early, our anniversary is in August). We enjoyed our time together and getting to see some pretty awesome sights. It was nice to have conversations without being interrupted and enjoyed having meals without having to feed someone else! We stayed in Waikiki for three nights and then headed east toward Ko Olina to the Marriott Beach Resort. We were there until late Tuesday night. We intentionally wanted this trip to be a relaxing trip, so we pretty much just went to the beach, read books, napped and ate! On Monday morning, we decided to drive up to the north shore of Honolulu we got to see some amazing views of the ocean and mountains. That night we also enjoyed a Luau that was both entertaining and full with yummy foods.

A special thanks to my mother-in-law and my family for taking care of the kiddos while we were gone. Although we missed them a lot, we knew they were in good hands!

We have never been so happy to get back home! When we got here, Izzy ran to give her daddy a hug and Ricky just looked at us, a little upset that we had left him:( So glad to be home!

Okinawan Sweet Potato. I had to take a picture to show you all the beautiful color, plus it's purple my favorite color:)

After dinner in Ko Olina

This is the resort where we stayed. Very nice!

No beach trip is complete without a sunset picture!

Driving up to the north shore

A beautiful sight!

Saw this car in the beach parking lot

The mountains and oceans of the north shore!

Waiting for the pig to be unveiled! I was hungry!

Unveiling of the pig. They cook this pig for 6-8 hours in this underground pit.

Enjoying the Luau!

Thanks sweetheart for making this trip happen! I LOVED every minute of it. Here is to many, many more years together!
