This one is dedicated to all those who live outside the DC area.
Well, it's been snowing here for almost a whole day. Meteorologist predict that by the time this snowstorm ends, there will be up 30 inches of snow (by 10pm today)!!! Let me tell ya, that is a LOT of snow! There have been lots of names for this record-breaking storm. SNOWMAGEDDON, SNOWPOCALYPSE, and SUPERSTORM since it landed on Superbowl weekend. Last night we had thundersnow and thunderlighting, very cool but scary at the same time. Our electricity went out in the early morning hours, but we are blessed that it came back this morning:) To warm up the house, I started baking some chocolate chip cookies (both made out with regular flour and wheat flour) and some brownies, YUM!! Izzy spent the night with her grandma, and looks like she will be spending the night there for several days! We miss her very much:( Ricky is loving being home and being the king of the house! He does seem like he misses his sister! Rene is out shoveling snow right now. We like to shovel the snow often so that we won't have to spend hours when it's all done. We shoveled last night, but when he went out earlier today he spent 1 1/2 hours out there and he only got part of the driveway done. He is now working on getting my side of the driveway done, so that we can get the minivan out in case of an emergency.
The snow itself looks so beautiful, a great reminder of what God has done for us. He has made our sins white as snow! Thank you God! We pray that all our loves one stay warm and safe and that power would be restored to their homes quickly!

To give you some perspective, Rene is 6ft tall and the snow comes up to his knees at 11am!
If I was out there, I probably would be lost in all that snow!

This is a picture of what my neighborhood looks like. Taken from the cozy and warmness of my house:)
