GirlTalk Blog Post
Yesterday I read a post from the Girl Talk blog (check it out, click here) that encouraged me in training and disciplining Izzy. The post dealt with being persistent in training/disciplining and trusting that fruit will come! As I read the post, all I could think was "wow, I'm not the only one having issues with my two year old!" The post made me realized that even though I might not see fruit from the training and disciplining right now, that does not mean that I will never see it. Often I am too focused on seeing results right away and demand that things would happen on my time table, not God's. I fall in to the temptation of thinking that God is not working in Izzy's life and that things will never change. Instead of thinking that way, I need refocus my attention and start trusting God and having faith that one day my children will be thankful for teaching them to be obedient and for modeling how to trust God.

Maybe we should stop checking our "flowers" every day to see if they have turned into fruit, but just enjoy them for what they are, and hope that ONE day we will see signs of fruit!
