Lately Izzy has been wanting to "help" out when I'm cooking, so Rene encouraged me to include her whenever I have a chance. Well, yesterday she took out the pot holders and opened up the oven and announced that she was going to "cook." I was a little apprehensive about trying out a new cream cheese peach cobbler recipe while trying to include Izzy too, but it turned out to be fine. Izzy was so excited to "cook" with me that when I told her that she needed to wash her hands to help me cook, she did it without complaining. When mixing the ingredients she was so eager to dump and mix it. What I was so surprised by, was how little of a mess she made when putting in the dry ingredients in! I know that she will not remember her first experienced in baking with mom, but I hope that we can continue this special time so that she can make special memories!

I thought she was going to scared of the mixer noise, but she enjoyed looking at the mixer and occasionally tried to put the spoon in.
Here she is eating the peaches that were supposed to go in the cobbler. I don't think she put any of the peaches in!

Final product! I hope it tastes good, it looks good and smells good!

I hope the cobbler did come out delicious!!! I've been eating at least 2-4 peaches a day! HAH!
It did taste really good! I'm embarrassed to say that Rene and I finished it in a couple of days! Thanks for sharing the peaches Juliet!
