Flowers for Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day this year, Rene had two dozen roses delivered to our house! This is the first time I get roses delivered to me! There is a sort of funny story behind this delivery. On Tuesday afternoon, my doorbell rings. When I opened the door, I was greeted by a delivery guy with a flower arrangement. I was surprised, but quickly was told that they belonged to my neighbor and asked if I could keep them for her while she got home:( I started to laugh at myself and told myself that "it was ok, cause Rene didn't give flowers for Valentine's Day anyways." What I didn't know was that Rene had ordered the roses last Sunday, so when I told him the story he kind of laughed since he knew what was coming. On Wednesday, when I came back from doing some errands, I found the roses on my front porch! I didn't only get two dozen roses but I also got some yummy chocolate too!

What really got to me was the message that Rene included. He thanked me for serving our family and for caring for them. What I see as my duty and something that I love to do, Rene sees as a blessing! I am very thankful for the love of my life and my sweet baby girl!

By the way, we are giving her her first cupcake tonight, I hope it goes well!

The roses are beautiful. The colors remind me that spring is coming!! My favorite ones are the pink and purple ones.
